It's true, your perfect opportunity is always just a click away If you don't get taken to the cleaners along the way. This page highlights how difficult it is to find good advertising online and shows why the 12SC I CAN service is the place you want to be. Let's start with the basics of advertising. First you need a good headline and ad copy. Then you need to find a place to advertise and this is where the fun begins because there are literally millions of places to advertise online and as you will see, simply finding someplace you want to test is only the beginning. The first bad boy site we reviewed is called Ezines-r-us.com. They sell solo ads for a variety of online ezines and they make it sound like they are doing you a favor with their special pricing, but are they really doing you a favor? Let's check them out... One of the ezines they sell ads for is DollarMines and they will sell you a solo ad from DollarMines for the great price of only $778 that will go out to over 300,000 people. Not a bad price if you're really slow in the brain because if you do your research you'll find that DollarMines will sell you the same ad for $399 or half what Ezines-r-us.com is going to charge you. Okay maybe they made a mistake on this so to give them the benefit of the doubt, I checked a little more and found they are charging $131.23--no idea what the 23 cents is for--but they want that much for a solo ad in Online Business Opportunities and they are so nice, they will give you 2 solo ads for the price of one. Can't you just feel the love? But wait before you start to melt, let's see what Online Business Opportunities will do for us. How about $30 per solo ad! Yep, go directly to the site and you can get 4 solo ads for less than Ezines-r-us.com was going to charge you for 2. If you're still not convinced, then let's do one more. Ezines-r-us.com is going to charge you a tidy little $165 for 2 solo ads in Bizopzine.com, but I can go to Bizopzine.com and get the same 2 ads for only $95, so why would I want to give Ezines-r-us.com an additional $70? Now before you freak out and say but if you bypass their site and go directly to the ezine, you are stealing the commission from Ezines-r-us.com. NO, they are stealing money from anyone who uses them. If they were getting paid commissions, they would have the same price at their site that the ezines have and the ezines would simply pay Ezines-r-us.com a commission. This is not the case and Ezines-r-us.com is only jacking up the price and placing the ad for you at each ezine. The problem with this is you still have to do the same amount of work whether you use Ezines-r-us.com or go directly to each ezine as you still have to pay, submit an ad and monitor the ad. The only thing Ezines-r-us.com is doing is scamming unsuspecting visitors to their site. Pure and Simple... Okay, let's do another one just for fun. During our search for good advertising, we came across Ezineking.com. This site has been around for many years but the original owner sold it years ago and obviously the new owners are not keeping up with the times as you will see below. For only $157, they are going to send your solo ad to over 1.6 million people via a variety of online ezines, but if you look closer at their site, you will find the following. Below are 3 of the places they say they will send you ad. The Digital Office Ezine with a subscriber base of 420,000. If you go and review Digital Office Ezine, you will see they only have 220,000 subscribers. They also say they are going to send your ad to Boaze Publishing which has 212,185 subscribers. Neat trick since Boaze has been offline for several years. They say they will send your ad to the Increaser that has 403,000 subscribers. There is NO ezine called the Increaser. The site is just a bunch of ads and appears to be a holding place if anyone wants to buy the domain. So of the 1.6 million people your ads are suppose to go to, the above alone represent 845,185 less so even if all the other numbers were true, your ad would only go to less than 790,000 and I can pretty much guarantee, the other numbers are wrong as well, so for $157 you could be sending your ad to nobody at all… To prove this point, I tried to find The Carpenter Wealth Report that they say has 117,000 subscribers and I could not find it anyplace, so that’s another 117,000 subscribers they won’t be sending to. Let's tally this one more time to be sure my math is right... 1,673,933 Subscribers they say they will mail to. -200,000 difference in Digital Office Ezine -212,185 because Boaze is no longer in business -403,000 because the Increaser is not real -117,000 because The Carpenter Wealth Report is not real 741,748 is what is left and most of the other ezines on their list are also out of business or have lower numbers than what EzineKing is saying. The above are just 2 services to show how difficult it is to find good advertising on the Internet and how with these 2 services alone, people are wasting tens of thousands of dollars on junk ads that will never work. You want to do advertising on your own, good luck, but if you want consistent and continuous advertising for your site that is affordable, then the 12SC I CAN service is for you.
Here is another little tidbit for you to chew on: You also want to be careful of sites that don’t update their copyright. A year off is not a big deal, especially if it is near January or February, but being over 6 years out of date is just too much. The site below is one that is listed at Ezines-r-us.com and just shows another reason to not do business with them. http://www.valerianplanet.com/rent.html © Copyright 2003 - 2004 - 2005 Intervalexp So what do you do in your search to find advertising? Check the testimonials but be careful because most testimonials online are bogus or provided by friends or you will see the same name at many sites as the so called guru's will give testimonials to any site--good or bad because it gets their name on the net. Do they have a phone number? My number one rule of doing business online is if I can't talk with someone, they don't get my business. Are they an affiliate for another site? Not that this is a bad thing, but if they are only an affilaite selling advertising, you will be hard pressed to get any support or help from them. Check the dates of the site to make sure it matches to what the site says. I have seen sites that say they have been in the advertising business for 10 years, but a quick Whois check reveals they have been online for months or only a year or two. Review Alexa.com for confirmation of traffic. If they get little traffic, they are probably lying. The bottom line of advertising is you MUST do it and you cannot rely on free advertising services to get the job done. The problem is there are so many advertising scams on the Internet and if you don't do your due diligence, you are going to lose BIG! | |
